HERCULES Researchers Explore the Connection between Redlining and Environmental Hazards

Lauren McCullough, PhD, MSPH, associate professor of epidemiology, and Leah Moubadder, a second-year doctoral student at Rollins, discussed research that sheds light on the connection between redlining and environmental hazards and stressors, as well as redlining’s connection to breast cancer during an interview on WABE’s Closer Look with Rose Scot. Listen here. Dr. McCullough was recently awarded funding through the HERCULES/Winship Cancer Institute Pilot Program partnership to continue her work on the legacy of redlining on the burden of air quality and breast cancer outcomes.
