Terms to refer to individuals or groups instead of “stakeholder”
Evaluators Goldie MacDonald and Anita McLees from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide a helpful table of words to consider using instead of “stakeholder”, which uses “plain language to improve clarity and reduce potential for bias or harm to others.”
